Wanderinga 7.1: Photo Import, Lower Prices, Lifetime

Wanderinga 7.1 makes it easier to turn your photos into a record of the places you have been. It also gives the free plan more room, lowers Pro prices and introduces a one-time Lifetime purchase.

A better way to import from photos

Your photo library can hold years of travel memories. In 7.1, you can select everything in one gesture instead of picking photos one by one. It is a simpler starting point when you want to look back across a large library. You can start with your photos and then review the places they suggest, instead of building every part of your travel history by hand.

You can now choose places only. Use it to record where you have been and mark countries as visited without creating a trip. That is useful when you remember a place but do not want to reconstruct an entire itinerary around it. Your visited countries can reflect where you have been, even if you prefer to leave the details of a particular journey for another time.

Before saving, review the places on a map. Swipe through the place cards, see the photos associated with each one, and tap a photo to enlarge it. You can check the places you recognise before adding them to your travel record. Seeing a location alongside its photos gives you more context than a name alone and lets you take a closer look at the moments you want to remember.

City detection is more precise too: villages are less likely to be grouped into the nearby larger city. While your selection is being saved, the progress bar now moves as the work continues, so you can see that the import is still underway.

Pro costs less

I wanted Pro to be accessible to everyone who travels, so its prices are lower. The annual plan includes a seven-day free trial. Choose the plan that suits how you use Wanderinga: a subscription if you prefer to pay over time, or Lifetime if you would rather make one purchase.

A bigger free plan

Free is a real way to keep your travels together. You can now add up to 10 stops per trip, 3 photos per trip, 20 manual memories per country and 20 countries and places in your bucket list. The free plan still includes 10 trips and 10 stored GPX activities.

Countries, stamps, badges and Wrapped remain unlimited. Full country maps, regions, GPX recording and import, and supported offline features are included too. Offline mode does not download map tiles. Your map and passport can grow with the places you visit, even if you never upgrade. Pay once with Lifetime

Lifetime unlocks Pro permanently with a single purchase and no subscription. Its $39.99 launch price is the same as two years of annual Pro; the price goes up later. Pro gives frequent travellers more room for trips, stops, memories, bucket-list places and stored GPX activities, plus advanced route tools and watermark-free 1080p Trip Reels.

Fixes along the way

Trip covers now load when the photo is stored in iCloud. Several map crashes have also been fixed. These changes are meant to make the record you have already built easier to return to.
