Wanderinga 6.0: Record Your Route, Even in Airplane Mode

Until now, recording a route meant opening another app, bringing the GPX file back, then fitting it into the trip it belonged to. Wanderinga 6.0 puts that first step where the rest of your travel story already lives.

Record without leaving the app

Start a recording, then put your phone away. Wanderinga follows the route and notices when you stop moving.

The route belongs to the trip from the start. When you return, you can name the activity, name its legs, set how you travelled, and see the countries you crossed in the same place as every other memory.

A pause is not always a stop

You might be waiting at a light, stuck in traffic, or arriving somewhere worth remembering. Wanderinga now asks which one it was.

Keep moving on the same leg when the interruption does not matter. Start a new leg when it does. The recorded route follows the shape of your journey — not the shape of every delay along the way.

Fix the route you meant to take

An automatic split can be one too many. You can delete a leg you do not want or merge two that belong together.

These changes rewrite the GPX file itself. Deleting and merging legs are available without Pro, so you can make the essential correction when the recording ends.

Keep going without a network

Travel is often when your connection disappears. In 6.0, “Continue offline” on the welcome screen opens a focused version of Wanderinga, built around the parts already on your phone: recording, trips, your passport, and saved activities.

What you record or correct offline stays on the device and syncs when you are back on a network. It is not an offline map. It is a way to keep the travel record moving when the signal does not.

Nothing follows you by itself

Wanderinga 5.0 made a clear promise: no background GPS tracking you never asked for. That promise still holds. Recording begins only when you tap start.

There is no silent route collection while you go about your day. You choose when a journey is worth recording, and Wanderinga records it only then.

A route is more than a line

A route becomes part of your story when it keeps the stops, the detours, and the places that changed the day. Wanderinga 6.0 makes that record easier to begin and easier to trust when you are away from a signal.
